Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. Welcome back!
Upon returning to school the students had a chance to brainstorm their New Year's resolutions. They thought of ideas ranging from reading more to eating their vegetables. Then they wrote their favorite one on a New Year's hat. They are displayed on our classroom door for all to see!
Last week, we also read a story called "Penguin Chick". We imagined we were in the southern hemisphere on the continent of Antarctica. We sat in a circle all bundled up and read the informational story aloud. The students learned a lot of facts about a penguin's life cycle.
